Natural Disaster Resilience Program (NDRP)
In the 2009 Budget the Australian Government announced funding of $79.3 million over four years for a new Natural Disaster Resilience Program (NDRP).
The Program will consolidate the existing Bushfire Mitigation Program (BMP), the Natural Disaster Mitigation Programme (NDMP) and the National Emergency Volunteer Support Fund (NEVSF). This will enable States and Territories to more effectively prioritise and address the risks of a range of disasters and streamline the associated administrative processes.
